Study IntakeÂ
The intake for admission into US colleges and universities is generally divided into 3 categories:
- Fall intake – From September to December
- Spring intake – From January to May
- Summer intake , which typically starts around May.
Eligibility Criteria
While each US University has its own admissions criterion, there are quite a few general requirements. In general, the majority of American universities call for the following from international student applicants:
- Transcript
- Standardized test scores
- SAT or ACT
- English proficiency test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, iTEP, PTE Academic)
- Personal essay
- Valid passport
- For pursuing a master’s degree, a Bachelor’s Degree Certificate attested by the university’s Examination Controller/ Principal.
- Recommendation letters are compulsory. For a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 3 recommendation letters is compulsory, while, for a master’s degree, 2 recommendation letters are adequate. Â

No, Australian Universities do not follow any particular gad system. Each University has its own grading system, and the student has to fulfill the requirements to secure admission in that particular program.
